New year new me, a slogan that it’s thrown around this time of year. Many people make weight loss goals but I want us to dig into something a little deeper and more meaningful. New Year is always a great time to reflect. This week’s blog is more of journal prompts to get you thinking. Each section has the main question with thought provoking questions below it. This is for your own reflection so make it yours. Not every question needs to be answered.

What do you want to leave behind in 2022?
What bad habit do you need to unlearn? What is something you need to let go of? Clothes that don’t fit? Tupperware that no longer has a lid? A toxic relationship? IG stalking your ex-boyfriend? What are the things in your life that are no longer serving you?
What did you learn about yourself in 2022?
What insights did you gain? Did you learn a new trigger or maybe a new skill? Did you learn a better self-care routine?
What goal did you reach in 2022?
Big or small. They are all important! Celebrate your wins!
Look back in your camera roll, what picture makes you the happiest to look at?
Why does that picture make you happy?
What’s a hope you have for yourself in 2023?
Hope for more healing? What does that look like? Hope for more connection with yourself or others?
What is one goal you have for yourself in 2023?
Exclude anything related to your weight. If your response is “no Salina I want to lose 10 lbs” my question is why? Is there a health reason? Then make your health a goal, not the weight. If you don’t like the way your body looks? Then make loving and respecting your body the goal.
What’s something you want to learn?
How many books do you want to read? What do you want to achieve in 2023?
What’s something you want more of in 2022?
More time with friends? More moments of rest? More moments of reflection? More time focused on yourself?
I’d love to hear one of your answers in the comments!
Happy New Year!
Salina
