What is Therapy Like?

Therapy is not easy. Contrary to popular belief, you don’t just sit on a couch, talk about your problems, and leave. It’s about digging deep. It’s about figuring out how your destructive behaviors (often habits) keep ruining the good in your life, where your ways of thinking came from, and working on improving your overall self-love. Some days you will leave therapy feeling exhausted, sad, or angry and others relieved, empowered or energized. Growth comes from talking about those things you have been avoiding or that make you uncomfortable. No topic is off limits and no detail is unimportant.
